We are always on the lookout for motivated individuals wishing to join the team. We have opportunities throughout the organization including in the following areas.

Staff : Host, Bar, Service, Kitchen

At Lone Star Steakhouse & Saloon our people make the difference. From your initial employment you will receive between 3 to 6 days of training depending on the section of the restaurant you will work in. Our training technique focuses on a buddy system which will see you teamed up with one of our in-store trainers who will "show you what good performance looks like". They will give you an opportunity to try new tasks with supervision to ensure you are confident with your new responsibilities. We have opportunities to work in the bar, host, service or in the kitchen.

If you are ambitious and aspire to a career in the ever growing hospitality industry you can receive a nationally recognised qualification while you work. Through our affiliation with Hospitality Dimensions, our Registered Training Organisation, we are able to offer up to certificate III in Hospitality Operations. This allows you to build upon your formal qualifications as you continue your career with Lone Star.

Assistant Managers

staff3.jpg At Lone Star Steakhouse & Saloon each of our Managers hold an individual area of accountability in the restaurant including Human Resource Manger, Back of House Manager and Bar Manager.

We rotate each manager's responsibility for these areas of accountability to develop them to their full potential and to facilitate their progress towards a General Management position. Each quarter you will be part of an individual management development and action plan to identify your strengths and weaknesses and discuss your progress towards your goals.

In addition to these responsibilities our managers are charged with ensuring our restaurants are "set up for success" to deliver our own special brand of Texan hospitality across 3 shifts daily.
Day Shift 8.00am to 6.00pm
Swing Shift 12.00 noon to business decline
Night Shift 4.00pm to close

Our restaurants close at 10.00pm Sunday to Thursday and 11.00pm on Friday and Saturday nights.

To be a Lone Star Manager you will need to be a proven leader, prepared to "set the pace" on the floor. Your enthusiasm for the hospitality industry will be rewarded with personal development and career advancement not to mention an attractive remuneration package so what are you waiting for?

General Managers

staff2.jpgOur General Managers are responsible for an individual restaurant unit. They are one of a 4 person team in our lunch and dinner restaurants and 1 of a 3 person team in our dinner only restaurants. Our General Managers are responsible for ensuring we achieve our mission to have an uncompromising commitment to exceeding our guest's expectations. This is achieved through a focus on staff development and training to ensure that each individual can reach their full potential.

Our General Managers are promoted from within, identified for their ability to consistently perform at a high level and demonstrate strong leadership skills. Promotion to this role is not based on tenure but on the best person for the job Australia wide as we strive to ensure the success of our business through the selection and development of our people.

This is a hands on role so be prepared to work hard. Our General Managers lead from the front and are expected to work the same mix of shifts as their Assistant Managers.


District Manager

Our District Managers are each responsible for a district of 6-7 restaurants. They have proven themselves as outstanding performers at Assistant Manager and General Manager level prior to their promotion to this role. They stand out from the crowd through their use of philosophical leadership and their desire for results.

The District Manager is the coach of our district, facilitating the achievement of results in each restaurant in their team, via the development of their managers. They must have a high level of commitment to working whatever hours are required, to provide the vision their district requires, to achieve Company goals. They are a source of technical knowledge and experience not only of Lone Star standards but from the business world in general.


In Support Office , Finance, IT & HR

Our Support Office consists of 4 Departments, Finance, Human Resources, Operations Support and Information Technology. The team is instrumental in restaurant execution through their provision of a variety of services. We require a high level of committment to servicing the needs of our internal customers which means that to be on the Support Office team you need to have - whatever it takes.
